Thermal wheel in our factory is also named with rotating cooling and Rotary Heat Exchanger wheel or Thermal Wheel Heat Recovery and so on. They are made by comby cellular aluminum film with cassette box, working with slowly rotary with around 10-20 RPM driving by the motor.

Thermal wheel is a mature technical equipment with obvious energy-saving effect in China, it has been used in industrial air conditioning for many years. Thermal wheel basic working principle is when the hot air flow get through the heat storage honeycomb cellular of the wheel, the thermal being absorbed and storage, its own temperature raising. As the wheel rotates at low speed, when the thermal storage element of the thermal wheel is in the cold airflow, the thermal storage element will release the stored heat, so that the cold airflow is heated and its temperature is reduced. Each rotation of the wheel completes a cycle of cold and hot air flow heat exchange. The wheel rotates continuously, so that the cold and hot air flow to obtain a continuous heat transfer process.

Thermal wheel is a regenerative rotary air to air thermal exchanger, so it is called air recuperator in China. In the industrial production process and air conditioning system, the regenerative rotary thermal wheel is used to recover the residue heat from industrial flue gas or waste gas with a long history. Because of its high thermal efficiency, thermal wheel has been widely used in power station, petroleum and chemical industry, textile industry, building air conditioning and so on.
