In most cases, hot air hopper dryer is used for plastic products air desiccant in injection molding processing or other plastic dehumidifying machines.They are rotary working and they can be replaced.

Hot air hopper dryer is the essential units in plastic desiccant filed. We all known plastic products appear the shrinkage, silver grain, bubbles, cracking, flow marks, poor transparency and other defect phenomena, the main reason for these poor quality is that the plastic has not been fully dried before forming, especially for engineering plastics such as of PA, PET, PU, TPU, PC, PBT, CA and other materials with strong moisture absorption which will penetrate into the plastic particles.

Practice has proved that reducing the dewpoint of drying wind to lower than -40℃ and meanwhile controlling the hot air so that it blows over the surface of wet plastic particles, with this way, that can make it reduce the moisture content to below 0.02% before forming. Hopper dryer working is in the closed circulation system to make the dry air quickly precipitates the moisture in the plastic particles to achieve the effect of dehumidification and drying, that is called hot air hopper dryer as so.

The central unit of hot air hopper dryer is made of ceramic or glass fiber honeycomb and organic additives, and then molecular sieve and silicone as the basic materials through high temperature crystallization sintering, so that the surface is with hard and strong adsorption on the honeycomb inside.

Hot air hopper dryer working principle: Hot and damp air from the dryer hopper being cooled and blown into the honeycomb rotor, the moisture is adsorbed by the honeycomb nest and then desorbed by the regenerated high temperature hot air. The two air flows act on the hopper rotor at the same time, and with the rotation of the rotor, the moisture in the air is continuously adsorbed and desorbed by the recycled air and discharged, forming a stable low dew point air to dry the plastic raw materials in a closed cycle running mode.
