Air dryer desiccant cartridge is the desiccant wheel with cartridge and driving motor, they are the central units in commercial and industrial dehumidification system with regenerative characteristics.

Air dryer desiccant cartridge is also called with desiccant rotor or desiccant wheel with cassette box, gearbox. Air dryer of desiccant rotors are made with honeycomb nest ceramic fiber or glass fiber with moisture adsorption medium of silica gel or molecular sieve filter.

Desiccant wheel air dryer always keep rotary in cartridge box with speed of 8~22r/h. in the cartridge box, equipped with motor, chain, gear, seal device and so on.When the moist air to be dehumidified which called with fresh air enters the air dryer desiccant cartridge, moisture in the air is filtered and adsorbed by the active silica gel and molecular sieve in the desiccant cartridge,so as to get desiccant air,and desiccant air is sent out to the room by the blower.

With the increase of absorbed moisture, the treated sector gradually becomes saturated. In order to obtain stable and continuing dehumidification performance, it is necessary to regenerate the hygroscopic agent in the dryer. At this time, the dehumidification area of the dryer, which tends to be saturated, is slowly rotating to the regeneration area under the driving of the motor, and the regeneration process begins, in fact its essence is the process of removing moisture out of the air dryer desiccant cartridge and enter the next cycle to dry air course.

This is the general working principle for air dryer desiccant cartridge same as desiccant air filter and dryer unit in commercial applied duct mounted dehumidifier.
