We are from manufacturer of dehumidification air handling unit in Foshan China with 15 years. They are some rotary desiccant wheels or desiccant rotors rotating with around 10-14 revolutions per hour, yes, they are very slowly rotating desiccant air handling units and need very low power supply.

But, they need high temperature of 120-160 degrees of hot air to do regeneration. Dehumidification is one course to remove the moisture from air to get the dry air. Our dehumidification air handling unit are some desiccant wheels glass fiber wave with silica gel to adsorb the wet air. So obviously, when the wet air being drink saturation, they need high temperature hot air to renew adsorption capacity, then continue to 'drink' the wet air.

Since the honeycomb nest wave is only for the wet air renew, for the dust, they don't have the renew function, so, adding the dust filter is necessary. Otherwise, the duct will block the honeycomb nest consequently reducing the dehumidification performance.
